St. Joseph's Centre for the Visually Impaired Logo.

St. Joseph’s School for the Visually Impaired seeks, through education, training and social care, to provide students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to fulfill their individual potential, so each can lead the life of their choice. Their services include: Assessment Service, Preschool & Early Intervention, Primary & Secondary Education, Vocational Training, Family Resource Centre, National Braille Production Centre, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language and Physiotherapy, Residential Service.

Through employee fundraising, AWAS employees have donated funds to St Joseph’s Centre, which have been used to purchase vital equipment for children who are visually impaired and suffer from other disabilities. The equipment includes reading schemes for struggling readers and touch screens which assist children with learning disabilities to communicate.

We are delighted to have AWAS as a corporate friend in 2009.
