As one of our corporate charities, ORBIS is an important focus of the AWAS CSR agenda. It is a charity which is working towards eliminating preventable blindness and restoring sight to rural villagers in the poorest regions of southern Ethiopia by 2012.

The ‘AWAS Silver Anniversary Ball’ was held in aid of ORBIS on 21st January 2010 at the Dublin Air Finance Conference. The event was a huge success thanks to the generous support of the aviation industry in Ireland and abroad. In total, AWAS raised approximately €105,000 on the night for this worthwhile cause.
